Below are a few options for demos and hands-on workshops that I offer. This is to give you a base line for time frames and costs, but I am open to discussing other formats and topics depending on your facility's needs/wants and budget.

Sarah German Ceramics Demo - 3 Hours
Sarah will demonstrate her techniques for building woven coil structures to create functional clay pieces. Learn how Sarah colors her clay, lays out her architecturally inspired patterns, builds them through weaving coils, and combines them with solid forms to create delicate but strong pieces.
Artist's fee - $300
Colored Clay Baskets - 4 Hours, Hands-On Workshop
Sarah will teach her techniques for building colorful woven coil baskets in this hands-on workshop. Learn how Sarah lays out her architecturally inspired patterns and builds them through weaving coils to create delicate but strong colorful pieces. Students will learn how to color clay using stains, design and lay out their own basket pattern, and construct it while learning how to roll consistent coils, attach them to avoid cracking, and work with multiple colors of clay in one piece.
Artist’s fee - $500 + accommodations and travel reimbursement if more than 3 hours outside of Austin, TX.
Max - 15 students
Artist will provide mason stains, drywall boards, hump molds, and some specific tools. Studio should supply a white stoneware or B-mix clay, and basic tools.
Woven Colored Clay - 2 Days, Hands-On Workshop
In this hands-on, two-day workshop, Sarah will teach her technique of building woven coil structures to create functional clay pieces. Learn how Sarah lays out her architecturally inspired patterns, builds them through weaving coils, and combines them with solid forms to create delicate but strong pieces. Various techniques will be explored during the course of the workshop, including coloring clay, rolling consistent coils, weaving and attaching coils to avoid cracking, and working with multiple colors of clay in one piece. Students will have the opportunity to construct multiple pieces, as well as combine them with solid forms to create fully functional work.
Artist's fee - $500/day + accommodations and travel reimbursement if more than 3 hours outside of Austin, TX.
