Studio Space for Rent

We currently have an immediate opening for one artist!

We have three, approximately 8'x8' individual spaces with shared equipment. Cost is $300 per month and includes:

• 24/7 access to studio

• access to electric kilns with a reasonable amount of firing included

• a variety of cone 6 dipping glazes available for use

• shared access to a Brent 14" slab roller

• shared access to a Shimpo VL Whisper wheel, a Shimpo VL Lite, and Giffin Grip

• clay sink

• Wi-Fi

• access to a bathroom inside the house

• a free one-hour lesson with Sarah each month, which can focus on wheel-throwing and/or hand-building skills, glazing, kiln operations, or professional development

While the equipment of the space is provided and shared, the individual workspaces are mostly unfurnished. Artists should plan to provide their own worktable, shelves, tools, and clay.

We are looking for artists that are experienced enough to work in clay on their own and do not need instruction, however we will give you an orientation of the particulars of our studio space, equipment, and glazes.

The home and studio belong to myself and my partner, who is also a ceramic artist. The garage studio space is shared between three artists (renting) and my partner, while I work out of a separate studio building in the backyard.

*Please note that while the garage does have a vent from the house's central air and heat, the space is not fully insulated, and the temperature fluctuates. There is an additional portable air conditioner and space heater available for use.
